Bradley Cooper's second film as a director, Maestro (2023), charts the relationship between renowned composer Leonard Bernstein (Cooper) and his longtime partner Felicia Montealegre (Carey Mulligan). Though Bernstein is a gay man essentially shamed into staying in the closet due to societal norms in the mid-20th century, their partnership is a shining example of finding one's platonic ideal in another. While the film doesn't shy away from Bernstein's many gay dalliances with various men including out actors Matt Bomer and Gideon Glick, it is unfortunately not the film's primary concern. However, early in the film, we get a sexy scene where Bradley Cooper wakes up to a phone call wearing only boxer shorts, leaving Matt Bomer behind in bed, and later playing his butt like bongos—though sadly we don't actually get to see Bomer's buns! Maestro will have you working up a magnum opus with a big finish... in your pants!
