Miami Blues (1990)

Based on the Charles Willeford crime novel of the same name, Miami Blues (1990) stars Alec Baldwin as Frederick J. Frenger, a psycho killer recently released from a California prison. Frederick decides to start over in Miami where he reignites his killing spree by taking out a Hare Krishna in the airport. When the deranged murderer checks into his hotel, he decides to check out the local hooker population. which leads to him crossing romantic paths with Susie Waggoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a young prostitute with a pixie cut who dreams of a more domesticated life. While he presents to her as a nice guy trying to get settled down on the path to marriage and dad-dom, behind her back Frederick hits Miami with a vengeance, stealing identities, wallets, and causing all sorts of unbridled chaos. But the fun in the sun soon comes to an end when Sgt. Hoke Moseley (Fred Ward), a grizzled police detective, pursues the felonious bad boy. The murderous maniac won’t go down without a fight, though, so Frederick ambushes the determined dick, steals his gun and badge, and amps up his reign of terror on the Sunshine State using his new police officer disguise. If you like beefcake, you’ll be in for a feast when the buff and hairy Alec Baldwin struts his stuff sans shirt. We even get to watch him stroll around the kitchen in a pair of whitey tighties as Susie cooks him a meal. Yum! Mr. Man would love to do bad things with that bad boy! There’s no blues in Miami when Alec is around!
