After corruption charges, the Texas State University Armadillos are forced to abide by stringent recruiting rules, most notably the requirement to only use actual university students. With a rag tag team and pressure for a championship, the Armadillos assistant coach calls up his former player, Paul Blake (Scott Bakula) and convinces him to enroll at Texas State University to play for the team. The catch? Paul is 34-years-old, and has some adjusting to do once he gets to school.
