Portlandia (2011-2018)

IFC’s smash hit Portlandia has extended beyond its initial premise of poking fun at the crunchy residents of Portland, OR, and has grown to encompass the eccentricities of people from different swaths of life. Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live fame and Carrie Brownstein from the rock group Sleater-Kinney team up to create hilarious and poignant skits during the 30 minute episodes. From an older lesbian couple that runs an unprofitable bookstore to a married couple that love their expensive outdoor gear, no one is left out of the fun. Although it’s taken a while, the alluring funnyman Fred finally showed fanny in season 3!
