Possible Loves (2001)

Possible Loves (2001) plays like the Run Lola Run (1998) of slow-burning bisexual romantic drams, starring Murilo Benício as Carlos, who when stood up by his girlfriend, Julia (Carolina Ferraz), imagines three possible futures for himself in the wake of this heartache. First, Carlos daydreams he's married to Maria (Beth Goulart), living a comfortably yet unfulfilled until he sees Julia again and rekindles what he had lost so long ago. Another scenario sees Carlos divorced from Julia and living with a male lover (Emílio de Mello). Finally, Carlos imagines himself stagnating, living in his mother's (Irene Ravache) basement until once again Julia appears, this time in the guise of an artist. Murilo and de Mello spoon in bed in Carlos' second vision, the former in nothing but black boxers while the latter wears a white tank and tight briefs. Later he spoons Ferraz, this time naked, though his crotch is obstructed by her body. Finally, he walks around blindfolded in tight brown briefs, chasing his naked lady until Mom comes home and spoils the fun. Fortunately no matter what path Murilo takes, he'll be wearing very little.
