Ready to Mingle (2019)

If filmmaker Luis Henaine is asking us if we’re Ready to Mingle (2019), the answer is yes! Not to be confused with American flick Ready to Rumble (2000) or the British reality TV show Ready to Mingle (2021), this Mexican movie also goes by the title Solteras, which means Singles. In other words, the romantic comedy features dialogue in Spanish. Yet whenever the actors shed their threads, there’s no need for subtitles! But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s discuss the plot. The action kicks in when a woman named Ana (Cassandra Ciangherotti) seeks professional help so she can get married. As you might expect, she finds more than she bargained for via encounters with Lucila (Gabriela de la Garza), Ilse (Irán Castillo), Sandra (Sophie Alexander-Katz), Lola (Flor Eduarda Gurrola), Ema (Mariana Cabrera), Gabriel (Pablo Cruz), Julia (Diana Bovio), Emilio (Andrés Almeida), Mari (Mar Carrera), Héctor (Leonardo Daniel), Rodrigo (Francisco de la Reguera), and Diego (Juan Pablo Medina). The latter actor steams up the screen when he flashes his abs and underpants during a sex scene. If that’s not arousing enough, a male stripper called Godzilla (Leison) shows off his bare chest and boxer briefs at the 01:08:40-minute mark. It’s a flesh fiesta! Did we mention the ebony hunk is sporting an enormous bulge as he gyrates in front of a lucky lady on stage? Needless to say, he puts the motion into this motion picture! We’re guessing Yanks in the States will be adding foreign assets to their spank banks!
