Satanic Panic (2009) was inspired by real events, technically: the panic of the '80s and '90s. It was a time when much of the world paranoid about satantic ritual abuse, a practice that involved kidnapping, torturing, and abusing victims for the sake of sacrifices and rituals. The movie starts out almost like a documentary would, following the fictional story of 10 year-old twins Toby and Cindy Richards, who were abducted by a satanic cult. Cindy managed to escape and tell her story, but Toby was never found.
Years later, six friends take a canoe trip are stranded near the site of the twins' abduction. One by one, they are tortured and killed, leaving the few survivors in a flurry to escape. There isn't too much room for sexy time in this horror/slasher flick, but we do get a glimpe of James Vallo's shirtless body before he is sodomized. Ouch.
