Single White Female (1992)

The erotic thriller Single White Female (1992) follows Allison Jones (Bridget Fonda), a NYC-based fashion software designer, engaged to Sam (Steven Weber). Allison has it all: looks, a great dude, a promising career, and an amazing apartment. But everything comes crashing down when Allison discovers that her sweet Sam has recently slept with his ex-wife. Allie does the only normal thing, and she gives the cheating cad the boot to the curb. Even though she lost her fiancé, she’s not going to lose her great apartment. So to make ends meet, Allie places an ad in the classifieds to find a roommate. The frumpy yet sweet Hedra Carlson (Jennifer Jason Lee) answers the ad and the two become roomies and friends. It’s roomie bliss until Hedra gets in touch with her creepy, psycho side and begins emulating everything about Allison. And when Sam wins Allison back, leading to Hedra’s eviction, the scorned sweetie gets in touch with her homicidal side, causing havoc and chaos for the reunited couple.
