Our remorse about Survivor’s Remorse (2014-2017) is that it only lasted for four seasons. Not to be confused with G Herbo’s album Survivor’s Remorse (2022) or Roddy Ricch’s song “Survivor’s Remorse” (2024), this small screen saga is produced by none other than NBA player LeBron James. As such, the sporty dramedy revolves around basketball phenom Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher) who, like most big time ball ballers must balance fame and fortune after signing a multi-million dollar contract. Talk about first world problems! Tied to an Atlanta-based professional basketball team, Cam moves to Georgia with his cousin and confidant Reggie Vaughn (RonReaco Lee). Of course where there’s newfound success, there’s bound to be opportunistic family members with their hands open for a piece of the pie. Take Cam’s older sis M-Chuck (Erica Ash), his proud mama Cassie Calloway (Tichina Arnold), his Uncle Julius (Mike Epps), and Reggie’s well-intentioned wife Missy Vaughn (Teyonah Parris). In other words, everyone must wrestle with the rewards and pitfalls that inherently come with being in the same stratosphere as a big time athlete. Meanwhile, you may be wrestling with your zipper when you get a gander at a shirtless Mr. Usher. The built babe flashes his abs throughout the run — from the pilot episode through to the final season. In between, Mr. Lee reveals his ebony pecs in seasons 1, 3 and 4. Plus, Robert Wu woos us with his toned torso and skintight undies on episode 2 of season 4. What a way to score!
