Here’s a movie math problem: What do you get when you take five countries (Canada, France, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom) and three screenwriters (Brad Fraser, Jennifer Salt, Jeremy Lipp) to tell one story about three lovers? The answer is Tempo (2003). Under the direction of Eric Styles, this romantic crime flick centers around Sarah James (Melanie Griffith) and Jack Ganzer (Hugh Dancy) who live together in Paris. As a courier of illegal artifacts, Sarah heads to Munich to do business with shady Walter Shrenger (Malcolm McDowell). While away, Jack hooks up with Jenny Travile (Rachael Leigh Cook), a naive American girl who works at a posh jewelry shop. Once she falls for Jack, she gives him the codes to the store. This info comes in handy when Sarah is kidnapped and Jack has to raise her hefty ransom in just two days. Will he be able to steal the jewels and secure Sarah’s safe journey home? Will Jenny turn Jack in when she realizes she is actually “the other woman?” What effect will Sarah’s ex-husband (Michel Albertini) and a bodyguard (Joseph Beddelem) have on the jewel heist? Will the detective (Michel Albertini) figure it out? Last but not least, will we get to see any dudity? Fortunately for us, the latter answer is Oui. In fact, we are treated to a view of Hugh in the nude! The hottie steams up the screen when he flashes his back, abs and ass in the shower. Dancy’s bare bod ensures this thriller is thrilling!
