Review

Set in 1786 Paris just after the French revolution, The Affair of the Necklace (2001) tells the story of a young aristocratic woman who is left penniless from the revolution and decides to seek revenge for what has happened to her family by stealing a priceless necklace.

This movie was nominated for an Oscar for Best Costume Design and looks beautiful, but the costumes can’t hold a candle to stud Adrian Brody and some of the other hot guys that round out the very impressive cast. The movie is more about story, look and design than nudity, but Brody adds some skin to the scenery in a scene where he is wearing only a low slung towel. His chest looks fantastic and the towel dips low enough to expose a taste of pubes. When he turns around he rounds out the steamy scene with a little butt cleavage. He looks so good he will have you reaching for your pants croissant as you have your own revolution in your jeans.

The Affair of the Necklace isn’t a movie that will set the skin-o-meter off, but it has a great cast and it gives you a chance to see Brody in all his skintastic glory a few years before The Pianist (2002) would make him one of the biggest stars in the world.
