The Bride! (2026)

Released in the wake of Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein (2025), Maggie Gyllenhaal's The Bride! (2026) presents the classic tale from a female perspective for a change! Author of the 1818 original, Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (Jessie Buckley), has her spirit possess the resurrected body of a recently deceased woman brought back to life by Dr. Euphronius (Annette Bening) at the behest of Frank (Christian Bale), the monster who survived the events of said book. We know it doesn't make any sense, but this movie sustains itself on vibes and while Christian Bale does his best to be a sexy Frankenstein monster, he doesn't whip it out. You may not cum, but you should still come for Buckley's performance and Gyllenhaal's reckless abandon behind the camera!
