The Passion of the Christ (2004)

The Passion of the Christ (2004) is a drama directed and co-written by Mel Gibson and starring Jim Caviezel, Monica Bellucci, and Maia Morgenstern. The film follows the last twelve hours of the life of Jesus of Nazareth, beginning when he is seized in the Garden of Olives after the Last Supper and ending after the crucifixion. In 2005, The Passion of the Christ was nominated for three Academy Awards: Best Achievement in Cinematography, Best Achievement in Makeup, and Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score. We see some skin from our leading man Jim Caviezel at 52 minutes when he is shirtless being whipped, and then again at an hour and 33 minutes when he is being crucified. The scenes are super brutal and we wouldn’t call them sexy but you’re going to be praying to Jesus for some future nudity from the juicy Jim Caviezel!
