The Shooter (1997)

The Shooter is a 90s time capsule of a movie about a rough and tumble cowboy who saves a sex worker from her terrorizers, only to attract their ire. Michael Dudikoff plays Michael Atherton, our hero, and Valerie Wildman plays Wendy, the woman who he saves. When the bad men who Michael saves Wendy from come after him, he guns them down in cold blood. As you can imagine this only attracts more attention, and before he knows it, Michael is fighting against some of the rootinest tootinest cowboys in the west. This 90s western dovetails perfectly with Walker, Texas Ranger, which was airing when The Shooter was released. It's very that. In the movie's only nude scene, Cal Bartlett, who plays a bad sheriff, shows his huge manly ass while in bed with a woman before he pulls the belt out on her. Cal is manly in the way that only 90s men can be. Bearded. Hairy. Huge. This hunk won't have you shooting blanks!
