The Van (1977)

If you like low-budget teenage comedies, then you’ll really love The Van (1977). High school grad Bobby (Stuart Getz) forgoes college to spend his savings on a customized 1977 Dodge D300 Tradesman van, waterbed included, in hopes of using it as a love mobile. Guys do the oddest things to get laid! But rolling around town in such a lavished vehicle isn’t necessarily a golden ticket to getting tail. As Bobby’s hormones have him targeting a bevy of babes to bed, multiple rejections lead him to setting his sights on Sally (Connie Hoffman), the blonde bombshell of the doltish town bully Dugan (Steve Oliver). In between trying to get his dingus damp, Bobby finds himself locked in a battle with Dugan, which ultimate comes to a head during an ill-fated drag race. But it will be a race to the finish for viewers of this goofy flick, thanks to the ravishing rumpage from Getz and Harry Moses. The guys will get your van-a-rockin’!
