We Broke Up (2021)

The Good Place's William Jackson Harper and You're the Worst's Aya Cash play long time couple Doug and Lori who open the film We Broke Up (2021) by, you guessed it, ending their ten year long relationship. The only problem with them splitting up is the timing as they do it just days before Lori's younger sister Bea (Sarah Bolger) is set to marry Jayson (Tony Cavalero). In an effort to not ruin her sister's big day, Lori decides to ask Doug if they could just pretend to be a couple for a few more days, get through the wedding, and then finally go their separate ways. Doug agrees and over the course of the next few days, the couple does their best to pretend that they're still together, though the large gathering of family and friends constantly hounding them about when they too are going to tie the knot proves to be a bit more than they can handle. Of course, the longer they keep up the charade, the more they begin to realize that maybe they were a bit too hasty to call things off, putting their relationship to an entirely new set of challenges they never dreamed possible. While there's no male nudity of any kind in the film, there is a sexy scene where the two main couples in the film have a chicken fight in the pool. William Jackson Harper keeps his shirt on but Tony Cavalero ditches his, showing off his phenomenal physique and then locking lips with Harper after they lose the match!
