Cassandro (2023)

Cassandro (2023) is a biopic about gay amateur wrestler Saúl Armendáriz (Gael García Bernal), who lived in El Paso, Texas but regularly crossed the border into Mexico to compete as a Luchador under the name El Topo. However, on the advice of his trainer Sabrina (Roberta Colindrez), he re-christens himself as Cassandro, The Liberace of Lucha Libre with flamboyant costumes and in-the-ring antics that brought him a lot of attention, not all of it positive. The film charts his ups and downs both in the ring and outside the ring, with eternal cutie Gael García Bernal giving his all in one of the most fun performances of his career! 

Raúl Castillo plays Gerardo, Saúl's on-again/off-again lover, and he and Bernal have several passionate gay scenes, though they're sadly all non-nude. Gael also locks lips with rapper turned actor Bad Bunny in a scene that will have you libre'ing your own luchador, if you catch our drift!
