Coneheads (1993)

Over the decades, some of the comedy sketches and musical acts from Saturday Night Live (1975-present) spawned feature-length films for better — The Blues Brothers (1980), Wayne’s World (1992) — and worse — A Night at the Roxbury (1998), It’s Pat (1994), Superstar (1999), and The Ladies Man (2000). Coneheads (1993) falls somewhere in the middle. The science fiction comedy stars Dan Aykroyd as Beldar and Jane Curtin as his wife Prymaat. Anyone who has seen the TV show, knows they’re aliens who left their native planet Remulak to prepare for an invasion of Earth. When their plans hit a snag after crashing into the Hudson River, Beldar and Prymaat are forced to become full-fledged New Jersey suburbanites, complete with jobs and offspring (Michelle Burke, Danielle Aykroyd). Years pass and life settles into the typical middle-class routine, until INS agents (Michael McKean and David Spade) begin to investigate Beldar’s fake social security card. The film features a who’s who of comic talent, including Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Dave Thomas, Garrett Morris, Jan Hooks, Joey Lauren Adams, Jon Lovitz, Julia Sweeney, Kevin Nealon, Michael Richards, Phil Hartman, and Sinbad. If you’ve begun to become bored looking at the nudity of mere Earthlings, then we have a treat for you: a close encounter of the caboose kind. In other words, this pic showcases Mr. Aykroyd’s T&A. Not surprisingly, his bare booty looks a like a lot a human butt except there’s no crack. Talk about having an ass that’s out of this world!
