Head Above Water (1996)

The discovery of a dead body turns an idyllic vacation to a real mess in the black comedy Head Above Water (1996). Newly wed George (Harvey Keitel), a Supreme Court judge and his young, beautiful wife Nathalie (Cameron Diaz) head out on vacay at their family’s island retreat. Instead of enjoying each other’s company, George heads out on a fishing trip with childhood pal Lance (Craig Sheffer), leaving his bride to hang out with her ex-lover Kent (Billy Zane), who just happens to show up, getting loaded and trying to rekindle their love. Though she manages to avoid his unwanted advances, the following morning Kent turns up partial naked and dead in the bedroom, sending Nathalie in a panic. When George returns from his fishing adventure, his mind starts working overtime, seeing an open-and-shut murder case against him as homicidally jealous hubby. It’s curtains for somebody. And it’s a whole bunch of skin but no nudity from Billy Zane. Boo hiss!
