Dumb and Dumber To (2014)

Imbeciles Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) are back in the unnecessary sequel Dumb and Dumber To (2014). It’s been twenty-years since we’ve last seen the guys, and nothing has really changed. While Lloyd kicks off the film by wrapping up having spent the last two decades in a coma, Harry discovers that he’s a father, and somewhere out there is his now-adult daughter. Looks like ol’ Lloyd drop a load in his old girlfriend Fraida Felcher (Kathleen Turner). Besides wanting to see how his girl, Penny (Rachel Melvin), has grown, Harry has other motives—he needs a kidney transplant and she’s probably a perfect match. So the goofy dudes head out on a road trip to Maryland, the state in which she dwells, in hopes of tracking her down and securing a kidney. But before they can get to Penny, they have to get through her adoptive parents, (Steve Tom and Laurie Holden). Sprinkling the plot are a bunch of tired jokes and gags that smell like the contents of an old fart jar.

While Jim Carrey tightly embraces modesty, only removing his shirt to bathe in the run-off from a nuclear power plant, Jeff Daniels steps up to show off his butt in four scenes that are more gross than sexy. But we’ll let you be the judge of that.
