Hell Baby (2013)

Move over Rosemary’s Baby (1968), there’s a new satanic kid in Tinsel Town. Following in the cloven footsteps of The Exorcist (1973), The Omen (1976), Demon Seed (1977), The Brood (1979), Night Feeder (1988), The Terror Within (1989), Baby Blood (1990), The Suckling (1990), The Unborn (1991), Possessed by the Night (1994), That Little Monster (1994), Hideous! (1997), Wicked (1998), 666: The Demon Child (2004), and Zombie Babies (2011) is Hell Baby (2013). Thanks to the writing and directing team of Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon (who also play a pair of priests), this humorous horror flick will scare you stiff while giving you a stiffy! The action kicks in when Jack (Rob Corddry) and his very pregnant wife Vanessa (Leslie Bibb) move into a spooky abode nicknamed the House of Blood. As expected, the expecting woman gives birth to a devil baby as well as a healthy one. Which infant will survive? And which of the actors in the cast will doff their duds? We can’t spoil the plot by answering the first question but we can tell you Mr. Corddry shows off his hairy chest and nude booty 55 minutes into the movie. That’s when he and Marjorie (Riki Lindhome) flash their flesh in the bathroom. Alas, this pic was a critical miss and box office flop — even with the help of funny men David Pasquesi, Keegan Michael Key, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Ian Black, Paul Scheer, and Rob Huebel. Nevertheless, Corddry’s bare bod is hot as Hell, baby!
