Macon County Line (1973)

You wouldn’t think a docudrama could break the bank but Macon County Line became the most profitable movie of 1974 when factoring in its cost-to-gross ratio. In other words, the indie flick was a box office hit! Set in 1954, the plot follows Chris (Alan Vint) and Wayne (Jesse Vint) Dixon. They’re brothers from Chicago who are taking a two-week road trip across the South before they enter the Air Force. This adventure includes picking up a blonde hitchhiker named Jenny Scott (Cheryl Waters) in Louisiana. But when the trio experiences car trouble, they await repair in a barn owned by Sheriff Reed Morgan (Max Baer Jr.). While there, Morgan’s wife (Joan Blackman) is taken by force and murdered by two thugs. As such, the sheriff goes on a vengeful rampage. But will his wrath be directed at the wrong people? And was this actually based on a true story? Most importantly, does the movie show any male nudity? We can’t tell you everything, except the answer to the last question is yes! Under the direction of Richard Compton (who also made 1975’s Return to Macon County), this flick showcases Mr. Vint’s skin. In fact, the handsome hunk flashes his flesh just two minutes into the pic! His character bares his back, ass and shaft when he runs out of a hooker’s house. If that’s not arousing enough, Alan displays his naked T&A while seducing a brunette in a hot tub at the 56-minute mark. Can you say “rub a dub dub?”
