Sanctimony (2000)

A one-time member of Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s entourage, director Uwe Boll continues his foray into depraved cult cinema with the crime thriller Sanctimony (2000). B-movie bad boy Eric Roberts stars as a monstrous serial killer with a penchant for removing the eyes, ears, and tongues of his squirming victims. It’s up to a male-female detective team (Michael Paré and Jennifer Rubin) to crack the case before the madman can strike again. As usual, Boll’s not squeamish about portraying blood, guts, or straight-up skin. Casper Van Dien shows off plenty of rear, and Pare models his goods for a photography class.
