She's Gotta Have It (2017-2019)

In 1986 Spike Lee crafted his first feature length joint with She's Gotta Have It, a sex comedy about a maneater named Nola (Tracy Camilla Johns) bouncing from bed to bed which drives the dudes (and young lady) chasing her crazy. Thirty years later and fans demanded "we've gotta have more of it!" so Netflix crafted the TV show of the same name with Spike once again behind the camera. DeWanda Wise is Nola Darling, a now pansexual and polyamorous artist living in Brooklyn and dating three hot guys at once. There's the kind of quirky but cute Mars Blackmon (Anthony Ramos), the self-obsessed hottie who dabbles in modeling Greer Childs (Cleo Anthony), and the mature banker Jamie Overstreet (Lyriq Bent). While she's cool getting cock from all these fellas, she's not cool getting touched on the street: an event which inspires her "My Name Isn't Baby Girl" street poster series. Meanwhile, her female friend Opal (Ilfenesh Hadera) thinks Nola's body is very touchable and would love an opportunity to do so. Obviously, that's basically the same as the movie, but stuff like the gentrification of Brooklyn, changing social norms in dating, and the politics of the day all provided some interesting updates to the original story. Unfortunately, we only got two seasons of seeing Nola live out the dream of having three dudes to do it with. We even get to see all three of them in different sex scenes putting the booty in this reboot. Giving the character of Greer an amazing rear, Cleo Anthony plays a hot workoutaholic who shows his bare ass during standing sex and does an amazing striptease for lucky Nola. As the iconic character Spike portrayed in the original, Anthony Ramos shows off his buns during sex while keeping his Jordans on! He's such a sneakerhead he wears them in bed! Last but not least is Lyriq Bent, who debuts his ass for the first time on-screen here while boning Nola. Nola has damn good taste, that's for sure. In season two Michael Luwoye gives up his muscular ass in epic fashion during a hot and heavy sex scene, while Nolan Gerard Funk will represent for the white boys by plowing a woman in front of a giant window. Great view of Manhattan! Better view of his thrusting buns! You just can't beat the updating to the mating in the new She's Gotta Have It!
