Someone Like You (2001)

In Someone Like You (2001), Jane (Ashley Judd), a popular daytime talk-show producer, gives her co-workers something to talk about by having a hot and heavy romance with the show’s studly executive producer Ray (Greg Kinnear). When things get serious, he drops her out of nowhere. Desperate to understand why her guy flew the coop, Jane interprets male-female relations by observing the humping habits of wild animals. Her findings earn her a column and make her a sensation for single women in the city. When Jane uses her randy roommate and co-worker Eddie (Hugh Jackman) as fodder for her findings, she finally gets over the one that got away, only to fall for the one she never saw coming in the first place. Although someone like Kinnear should show some skin for his fans, Jackman takes up the mantle with a fleeting glimpse of his backside in one scene, and by doing another scene entirely in shirtless, muscular, boxers-only glory. We’ll take someone like that any time.
