The Acid House (1998) is a dramatic comedy written by Irvine Welsh, directed by Paul McGuigan, and starring Stephen McCole, Maurice Roëves, and Garry Sweeney. This U.K. comedy tells three twisted tales set in the seedy underbelly of Scotland. The dark stories from the mind of Irvine Welsh include a man who is abandoned by everyone in his life and turned into a fly by God, a man whose wife leaves him for his criminal upstairs neighbor, and a man who swaps bodies with a newborn baby after being struck by lightning while tripping on acid.
