The Get Down (2016-2017)

Netflix got into the hip-hop game in the late summer of 2016, bringing their original series The Get Down to the streaming service! Set in the Bronx in the wild and wooly late 70s, the series chronicles the rise of hip-hop as seen through the eyes of the teens who were there when the fuse was lit! The series also looks at the simultaneous rise of punk and disco, in a city that always tries to stay ahead of the trend, and the legendary places like CBGB and Studio 54 that birthed the movements! Series star Shameik Moore shows off his fantastic body in some underwear only scenes, and we also get shirtless looks at Brandon J. Dirden and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II! This series just might make you wanna get down with yourself!
