The Swearing Jar (2022), based on the stage play of the same name, is a musical tale about love, loss, and grief. Carey (Adelaide Clemens) is a high school music teacher who is writing a musical about her relationship with her husband Simon (Patrick J. Adams). While in a coffee shop working on the script, a barista named Owen (Douglas Smith) sparks a conversation with her, leading to a relationship that neither of them expected, least of all Simon's mother Bev (Kathleen Turner), who sees the two of them together and begins formulating theories about what's going on between them. Despite containing two topless scenes from our leading lady, the favor is not returned by the men in the film, though Douglas Smith does look mighty sexy without his shirt on in a sex scene!
