In between A Walk on the Moon (1999), Walking on the Wild Side (2000) and Walking on Sunshine (2014), Mr. Man was up for a Walk on Water (2004). Also known as Lalekhet Al HaMayim, this skinternational flick features English, German and Hebrew dialogue. Yet when the actors appear in the nude, we’re speechless! Thanks to the direction of Eytan Fox and the writing of Gal Uchovsky, the Israeli mystery received a César nomination for Best Foreign Film from France. The thriller centers around assassin Eyal (Lior Ashkenazi). After he learns his wife committed suicide, he tries to lose himself in his bloody work. But his boss (Gideon Shemer) doesn’t think he can handle much intensity. So, Eyal is assigned the relatively simple task of locating an old Nazi war criminal. As such, Eyal goes undercover as a tour guide so he can get to know the Nazi’s adult offspring — Axel (Knut Berger) and Pia (Carolina Peters) Himmelman. As you might guess, Eyal winds up falling for Pia. He also grows fond of Axel, an openly gay guy who helps Eyal confront his long-standing homophobia and heal from his wife’s suicide. Will Eyal go through with his mission? Or will he have missionary sex with Pia once they marry and have children? We won’t spoil the ending, though we may spoil our trousers when Mr. Ashkenazi and Mr. Berger go full frontal in an outdoor shower scene. After you see their collective pecs, buns and junk, you’ll be walking on air!
