Bad Timing (1980)

Set in post-Cold War Vienna, the psychological drama Bad Timing (1980) focuses on Milena Flaherty (Theresa Russell), a twenty something American who finds herself in the emergency room after an apparent overdose. Accompanying the suicide sweetie is Alex Lindon (Art Garfunkel), a horny American psychiatrist working as a lecturer at the local university. Told through a series of fragmented flashbacks, we witness a detective (Harvey Keitel) interrogating the shrink over his involvement with Milena’s pill-popping, and we eventually discover that she is married to a much older dude (Denholm Elliot), whom she’s been cheating on with Alex. The philandering psychiatrist soon allows his emotions get the best of him, and he finds himself trying to control his fornicating femme, leading us to believe that Milena might not actually be suicidal. While trying to fit the pieces together, you’ll be having a fit with yourself when Art Garfunkel bares his bunnage in two scene of sexual enjoyment. Art’s ass will turn your bad time into bawdy time!
