Furies (2023)

Furies is the first ever Netflix original Vietnamese movie, and it's ushering in the streaming platform's Vietnamese era with a bang! Furies is loosely a prequel to the 2019 movie Furie, and follows three deadly young female assassins all trained by the same woman. The lethal trio's antics are brought to life with stylistic bloodshed by director Ngo Thanh Van, who is receiving rave reviews from critics for Furies. In the movie we learn about the dark histories of these damaged dames, which helps inform us why they're the bloodthirsty badasses they are now. What we really want is the backside story of the actor Song Luân! He plays the suggestively-named character Long, and in the hottest scene in Furies, he strips off his shirt to showcase his abs while wearing jeans. There's something about a shredded man poured into jeans that always has, and always will, do it for us! Sadly Song does not go nude here, so we, unfortunately, have to give Furies a one-star out of four-star rating. Maybe if there's another loosely based prequel, they'll be looser with the nudity!
