Strawman (2023)

Strawman is an artistic black-and-white movie about a man who becomes obsessed with another man. Wait, it's not what you think! Mateusz Więcławek plays a man named Bundy tasked with monitoring Bishop Karol Wojtyla from afar as a spy. He's never met Wojtyla, but his life revolves around Wojtyla's every move. It's not too surprising that Bundy takes an interest in Wojtyla as he spends most of his life thinking about him. However, interest turns into obsession as Bundy becomes further and further enamored with this man of the cloth. Sadly Mateusz Więcławek remains a man of the cloth as well, never straying from his clothes throughout the duration of Strawman. Aww man!
