Heat (1972)

Director Billy Wilder’s noir flick Sunset Boulevard (1950) starring William Holden and Gloria Swanson is a cinematic classic, just as producer Andy Warhol’s loose reboot Heat (1972) is a cult classic. Not to be confused with Michael Mann’s thriller Heat (1995) starring Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro or the cop comedy The Heat (2013) with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, this sexy spoof centers around Joey Davis (Joe Dallesandro), a grown child star who now works as a male hooker. Once he seduces former Hollywood starlet Sally Todd (Sylvia Miles), she tries to revive his acting career. But when Joey realizes she no longer has the connections to get him where he wants to be, he tries to get away amid the assaults of Sally’s daughter Jessica (Andrea Feldman). Along the way, we meet a movie producer (Ray Vestal), motel owner (Pat Ast), and gossip columnist (John Hallowell, who co-wrote the screenplay with director Paul Morrissey). The movie also includes Eric Emerson, Harold Stevenson, Lester Persky, and Mr. Dallesandro’s beautiful body. Throughout the movie, he struts his stuff in the buff. Check out Joe’s naked chest and bulging briefs 23 minutes in. Later, the blonde babe displays his naked T&A as he makes love to a lucky lady. Not to be outdone, Mr. Emerson flashes his abs, ass, sack and erect shaft at the 01:00:45 mark. The peen scene makes us think of Ms. Swanson’s famous Sunset Boulevard line, “I am big. It’s the pictures that got small.” Eric is big indeed!
