Transgender activist Alexis Arquette was once an indie actor looking for a big break, and hit the nail on the head with the sweet under-the-radar dramedy Never Met Picasso. She plays a struggling gay artist dealing with love, career, heartache, friendship, and family from the comfort of his mother's home. In fact Alexis' character Andrew Magnus finds inspiration in his mother, played by Margot Kidder, as so many other young gay men do in their mothers. Plus he forms a friendship with his uncle, who also becomes his mentor. Picture every 90s gay indie, and this is what you get! We're loving the retro vibes we get here, but we're not loving the total lack of nudity. What we're left with is some light gay petting between Alexis Arquette and Don McKellar. Never Met Picasso has us in our Blue Ball Period!
