Penitentiary (1979)

Disc jockey, movie producer and playwright Leon Isaac Kennedy shows off his acting chops (among other things) in Penitentiary (1979), not to be confused with the old school crime flick Penitentiary (1938). In this pic, producer, director and screenwriter Jamaa Fanaka tells the tale of Martel “Too Sweet” Gordone (Kennedy). While meandering in the desert, Martel gets picked up by a prostitute named Linda (Hazel Spears) in her Shaggin’ Wagon. When the two have sex, Too Sweet reveals his chest and buns. In other words, “don’t come a knockin’ when this van’s a rockin’!” Unfortunately, fate rears its ugly head soon after when the handsome hitchhiker accidentally kills a man while defending Linda’s honor. As you can guess, he’s sent to prison. While inside, Martel joins the boxing team in hopes of earning an early parole. But who would want to leave the big house when it’s home to so many hunky inmates? For example, Eugene T. Lawson (Thomas M. Pollard) flashes his ebony ass when he pulls down his pants. Talk about putting a thrill into this thriller! If that’s not arousing enough, “Half Dead” Johnson (Badja Djola) proves he’s dead sexy when the shirtless dude appears in his boxer shorts and nothing else. Too bad, Mr. Johnson doesn’t expose his Johnson! Since the release of this movie, fans can see the sequels Penitentiary II (1982) featuring Mr. T and Penitentiary III (1987) with Anthony Geary. Needless to say, Mr. Man is waiting with masturbated breath for the next Penitentiary installment!
