Smart Ass (2014)

For decades, big and small screens have been bursting with brainy entertainment, from The Smart Set (1921), Smart Money (1931) and Three Smart Saps (1942) to Get Smart (1965-1970), Street Smart (1987) and Pretty Smart (2021). Of course, we must include Smart Ass (2014) on this list. Not to be confused with the TV movie Smartass (2017), this French flick is directed by Kim Chapiron who co-wrote the screenplay with Noé Debré. The risqué romp kicks into action when a trio of business students — Dan (Thomas Blumenthal), Louis (Jean-Baptiste Lafarge) and Kelly (Alice Isaaz) — decide to blend their entrepreneurial skills with sex and money. Talk about mixing business with pleasure! As such, they start a “Cigar Lover’s Club” where the nerdiest guys on campus can mingle with the hottest girls in school. In other words, they begin to turn a profit while their staffers turn tricks. But when this prostitution ring grows, so do their problems — especially when the dean discovers what they’re doing. When it comes to who they’re doing, check out a bedroom scene which has Mr. Blumenthal baring his chest while he and a woman have sex. After the skintastic act, Thomas  bends over to put his boxers on. Luckily for us, the move reveals his balls and butt! No wonder he (and Monsieur Lafarge) nabbed Lumières Award nominations for Best Male Revelation. Also known as La creme de la creme, the dudity in this foreign movie will make you creme de la creme your jeans!
