The Beach Bum (2019)

Legendary weirdo and longtime David Letterman nemesis Harmony Korine didn't need Matthew McConaughey to really flex his acting muscles when he cast him as the star of The Beach Bum (2019). After all, his character Moondog is a sexy stoner who everybody loves! Moondog bums around the Florida Keys, where he's achieved a bit of local legend status. His lazy lifestyle comes thanks to his sugar mama wife Minnie (Isla Fisher), which is why his workaholic daughter Heather (Stefanie LaVie Owen) can't stand him. He arrives at his daughter's wedding but gets drunk and ends up in a car crash that least to Minnie's death. Minnie's will declares that he'll only get his money when he finishes his book, so Moondog's in dire need of some moola! Broke and aimless, our pot loving poet goes on a journey to honor her memory and find out what he should do next. From run-ins with the law and prison escapes with a crazy pyromaniac (Zac Efron), to great white shark hunting with Captain Wack (Martin Lawrence), and even a run-in with the legendary Jimmy Buffet, Moondog's insane adventure just might inspire him to finally finish that book. Snoop Dogg plays a rapper named Lingerie, who shows some of his lingerie when he gets cheeky in a thong. Zac Efron is hot as Hell as the pyro with the amazing abs we see hanging out on a boat with Moondog, while Jimmy Buffet is pretty buff for an old dude. He's hanging out in a hot tub surrounded by beautiful women rubbing him down. Would Mr. Margaritaville care for a, or some, sex on the beach? Meanwhile, Matthew McConaughey wears a thong for most of the movie, showing his Beach Buns constantly. Alright, alright, we'll be thinking about those tan buns all night!
