Is it live or is it Demonrex? That’s the problem for Karl Urban as an anthropologist trying to unravel the titular riddle of The Irrefutable Truth About Demons (2000). He may be a megastar now, but back when Karl was still working on Xena: Warrior Princess he starred in this B-movie as anthropology professor Harry Ballard (Karl Urban). Harry specializes in debunking the occult, and laughs in the face of claims of curses, possessions and conjuring demons. His brother (Neill Rea) supposedly killed himself a few months back, but Harry thinks a Satanic cult was involved. One day, he gets a cryptic vhs tape from the cult's leader Le Valliant (Jonathan Hendry) and decides he needs to investigate them for himself. But while he plans to show their claims are crap, they end up framing him for murder and forcing him to flee. Seeking to prove his innocence, he'll hook up with a woman named Benny (Katie Wolfe) who has magic powers of some kind and come to realize that demons just might be real. Or he'll realize he's gone insane. His character isn’t quite right in the brain, so it’s hard to be sure if he isn’t just imagining the cultish creatures that have killed his friends and prompted his devil-worshipping brother to commit suicide. This humble indie manages to create a lot of tension and terror on a very small budget. Trying to battle demons usually isn’t conducive to knocking boots, but Urban exercises any inhibitions and his pants during a steamy sexcapade.  His cute, round bottom can be seen bouncing beautifully thanks to total skinsposure. There's nothing to debunk, Karl's a straight up hunk! There’s also a lot of shirtless action throughout the movie, but we never get to see Harry Ballard's hairy ballsack. Oh well. The Irrefutable Truth is Karl's cock is going to remain an Urban legend.
