The Legend of Tarzan (2016)

The 2016 Tarzan reboot, The Legend of Tarzan, stars none other than Alexander Skarsgård as the titular ape man, and if you are hoping for plenty of sweaty swinging shirtless action that'll have you groping your banana, you’re in luck! In this version of the story, Tarzan has called Victorian England home for a decade when we meet up with him. He's now a sort of civilized celebrity spending his time with his beloved Jane (Margot Robbie) in the concrete jungle of London. But back home in the jungles of The Congo, Chief Mbong (Djimon Hounsou) is still holding a massive grudge against the King of the Apes for killing his son. His tribe dominates the diamond heavy region that Belgian Official Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz) would really like to exploit, but they're happy to kill anyone who ventures into their land. Rom offers them riches, but that's not what Mbong's looking for. Instead, the Chief's deal is simple: bring Tarzan back to the jungle for me to kill and we'll let you mine as many diamonds as you want. Leon thinks it's a great idea, so soon enough he's kidnapped Jane and brought her deep into the jungle. When he finds out what happened, Tarzan goes apeshit and sets out to bring his girl back! The OG Tarzan was Olympic swimmer Johnny Weissmuller, which might explain why they picked the long and lean but somehow super muscular Alexander Skarsgård to take the manly mantle. Alexander fills the loincloth quite well, swinging through the jungle shirtless. His abs are insane as he sprints to find a vine to hang on, and even takes a dip in the water. That scene was giving Mr. Man King of the Jungle fever! You Tarzan, me horny!
