The Mean Season (1985)

The Mean Season (1985) follows journalist Malcolm Anderson (Kurt Russell) whose coverage of a teenage girl's murder attracts the attention of her killer (Richard Jordan). The man repeatedly contacts Malcolm, offering clues about his crimes. Malcolm agrees to let the police trace his calls, but as his story becomes more widely known, his newfound fame infuriates the killer who decides to reclaim the spotlight by kidnapping Malcolm's girlfriend, Christine (Mariel Hemingway). This is Kurt in prime form twice showing off his slightly hairy bare chest. The first time comes when he steps out of the shower and we get several glances at his soaking wet physique as he talks on the phone. Later, Kurt wears some loose fitting pajama pants and nothing else as he wakes up on the couch to once again answer the call. Though not his most revealing film, Kurt still does enough shirtless strutting here makes this a season to remember!
