Before teen girls were lusting after the pretty boy cock of the New Kids on the Block, the OG Boston boy band New Edition was pumping out hit song after hit song. Looking to tell that tale, BET's 2017 biopic miniseriesThe New Edition Story spans the band's creation to inevitable demise and solo career spinoffs. The pride of Roxbury's Orchard Park Projects, Ronnie (Keith Powers), Bobby (Woody McClain), Ricky (Elijah Kelley) and Mike (Bryshere Y. Gray) were plucked from the hood and brought to stardom by producer Maurice Starr (Faizon Love). But when Ronnie's uncle Brooke (Wood Harris) gets brought on as their manager, things start to go South. The moms are mad their sons are pumping out hits like "Candy Girl" and "Mr. Telephone Man" but not seeing any money. Brooke gets fired, and a big rift in the band develops. Of course, Bobby Brown will tear that rift right in half with his constant refusal to go along with anything anyone wants him to do. He'll end up going solo, the band will split into little mini groups, and with all the drugs, jealousy and unplanned pregnancies, The New Edition Story will end up being the same old story we've seen from so many other bands. At least the boys of The New Edition Story don’t waste any time getting stripped and sexy for an orgy in the first episode of the series. Bryshere Y. Gray, Elijah Kelley, Algee Smith, Woody McClain, and Keith Powers all show off their mesmerizing, muscular chests when they get caught having a sexy party with a group of lovely ladies. If it isn't love-making! We also get a near constant stream of these muscle-bound boy banders singing, dancing, and doing all sorts of other stuff shirtless. Cool it now, things are getting way too hot! With those amazing abs and perfect pecs, the boys of New Edition are going to make you need a new edition of the pants you’re wearing!
