Zulu (2013)

Who knew the Zulu were such a common topic on film and TV? Hotties Burt Lancaster and Peter O’Toole sizzled on the big screen in Zulu Dawn (1979) while Edward Fox and Robert Powell titillated home viewers in the boob tube miniseries Shaka Zulu (1986). Even though these sexy thespians teased audiences with their good looks, it was up to Orlando Bloom to actually flash some flesh in Zulu (2013). Not to be confused with the war epic Zulu (1964) starring Michael Caine, this crime flick is based on the same-named book by Caryl Férey who received the French Grand Prix for Best Crime Novel! Under the direction of Jérôme Salle, the cinematic adaptation is a co-production of France and South Africa. As such, the foreign drama features exotic hottie Ali Sokhela (Forrest Whitaker). He’s the homicide chief in Cape Town who narrowly escaped death as a child at the hands of a militant political party. Alas, the encounter left him as a eunuch. Luckily, Detective Brian Epkeen (Orlando Bloom) is fully in tact. Although his family supported apartheid when he was a kid, he and Ali work side by side despite their opposing upbringings. They must put their differences aside when women start turning up dead. Of course, you’ll turn up horny when you see Mr. Bloom’s built body. As the gorgeous guy gets out of bed to confront an intruder, he flashes his muscular back and bouncy bare buns. In other words, Zulu will put some voodoo in your hoodoo!
